I have had a camera in my hands since I was 12 years old. As a matter of fact, I still have that camera. It is a Kodak Instamatic 124 film camera. It was the first of many film cameras, and they all taught me how to look at the world through a lens.
Film cameras also taught me the necessity to master the tools of my trade, to understand light. To understand how my camera records light. To get the shot in the camera and command my equipment to create my clients’ vision.
I started photographing professionally over 25 years ago. In my professional career, I have photographed entertainers, commercial work for corporations, national events, and over 350 weddings. I have photographed everything from newborn babies to Peterbilt trucks.
A few years ago, my family and I experienced a life event that required us to make some changes. We ended up moving to Oregon, where I took time away from photographing professionally and returned to my roots. I again became that 12-year-old boy who picked up his camera to capture the beauty around him. It was not only an amazing time, but was refreshing and gave me new-found inspiration.
In June of 2016, my wife, son and I decided it was time to return to family and friends, and come home to the people and way of life we love so much. My wife and I now live in Winchester, Tennessee, and I have decided to return to my second love, putting my talent, creative eye and craftsmanship to work for you.
Whether I have the privilege of creating an heirloom album of your wedding day, or perhaps capturing the gathering and celebration of a 100th birthday, from newborns to seniors and family you will receive the creativity, craftsmanship and passion that makes time stand still for you.
